Description
Critic Donald L. Kaufmann was a close friend of Edmund Skellings. They both received a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa and Skellings hired Kaufmann to be a professor in the Alaska Writers Workshop. Kaufmann was one of the Alaska Flying Poets. He wrote a critical article about Skellings poetry trilogy, Nearing the Millennium, published in the Massachusetts Review and re-printed as a Forward in Edmund Skellings Collected Poems: 1958-1998.
